Ich kläre den Gegenstand der gemeinsamen Arbeit, das Ziel, Sinn und Nutzen und wie wir beide, der Kunde und ich, dieses Ziel erreichen wollen.

The transition to a resource-saving and sustainable economy is one of the largest challenges of our century. The preservation and augmentation of capital is a self-evident tasks for companies, but sustainability in managing ecological and social resources is still relatively new. Economics was often conceived as a set of rules, based on abstract models, for the development of businesses and economies, which seemed to have no relation to social and ecological contexts. Even today, we still use mathematical models from the 19./20.
Seit 10 Jahren wohne ich in einem kleinen Dorf im Süden Frankreichs. Ich fühle mich wohl hier, es ist mein zu Hause geworden. Ob Familie, Freunde oder Bekannte, fast allen, die uns besuchen, fallen irgendwelche Merkwürdigkeiten auf, die wir dann erklären sollen. Merkwürdigkeiten im Sinne des Wortes – würdig bemerkt zu werden. In solchen Momenten bemerke ich, wie sehr ich mich schon an viele dieser Merkwürdigkeiten gewöhnt und gelernt habe, damit umzugehen.
Ich schreibe hier über eine persönliche Erfahrung mit Angst, einer Angst, die nicht mehr steuerbar und beeinflussbar war, für die es keine Worte mehr gab, die sich unendlich und tiefschwarz angefühlt hat.
Vor ein paar Wochen wurde bei meiner Tochter ein Hirntumor entdeckt, und ihr überleben konnte nur durch einen operativen Eingriff gesichert werden. Diese Information traf mich mitten ins Herz, ich war für einige Zeit wie gelähmt.
Until a few years ago, I could not imagine that I can create art.
It changed when I did a one week trainingscourse in 2009, to learn using traditional techniques to restore and decorate walls.
My trainer was an artist-artisan, he not only miraculously mixed colours and materials, and explained how the different materials react with each other, he also conjured beautiful examples of multi-coloured stucco, lime plaster and Tadelakt.
I was thrilled, but still far away from thinking that this might have something to do with art.
As an artist, I prefer that everyone buy the art they love, and thus they will find a place for it in their home. Selecting and placing art is an art in itself.
It might be difficult to find the right place in your home, fitting to your style. In such a case it could be helpful to hang it in different places, maybe re-arrange some furniture, re-paint a wall, improve lightning, all these changes will be worth to enjoy the art you love.
Il y a quelques jours, je me suis garé ma voiture et oublié de fermer la porte, elle était visiblement ouverte. Un voisin, avec qui nous n’avons pas contact (qu’est une longue histoire d’affrontements interculturels), dit un autre voisin de me faire savoir.
Même si il n’a pas parlé directement à moi, il se comportait d’une manière civilisée. Je l’ai trouvé normal, ne pas pensé plus loin.
I’m a little torn on this issue.
On one hand, I want my pictures give a title, and by him telling, what I deliberated about while painting. On the other hand I give a direction and thus influence the viewer. I don’t want to define the direction or interpretation, each viewer should develop its own thoughts and reflections. However, a title can also be stimulating, it may well be so, that the viewer would never get the idea behind the painting and it could be quite enriching to be drawn to this path.
After Red, I made Blue and a fine green line.
Here again, I used different shades of one colour: grated Lapislazuli, which gives the ultramarine, indigo and Bleu Ercolano, a synthetic pigment.
Applied in layers with different binders, it creates wonderful colour effects such as the fine green line.
