Seit zwei Wochen haben wir einen Künstler zu Gast in unserem roten Appartement, den Maler Harald Huss. Wir haben uns vor drei Jahren kennengelernt, als er anläßlich einer Ausstellung in La Chapelle de Fitou ebenfalls bei uns weilte.
Seine Bilder sind ein Feuerwerk der Farben, in vielen Schichten teils transparent, teils opaque aufgetragen.  Sie haben mich sofort fasziniert. Ich arbeite ja so ähnlich, bringe auch viele Schichten Farbe auf Leinwand oder Holz auf, allerdings mit einer total anderen Technik.

Dans quelques semaines, nous ouvrirons notre ART Fabrik pour la saison estivale et nous sommes en train de préparer notre vernissage d’ouverture. Nous commencerons par la céramique de Joanna, des bijoux d’Harry et des peintures de ma part.

I was searching for a long time for the perfect blue, played around with different pigments, lost my track a bit through the dead of my mother and finally felt that I need another colour in this painting.
My perfect blue has got a dash of green, a green I created by adding some terre jaune italienne to the Lapis Lazuli blue.
Blue stands for the ratio, the cool analytical part of a person. Do you remember?

A few days ago, I got enthusiastically introduced to Ethereum, a platform for decentralised applications, based on a public blockchain and using Ether as a crypto currency.

L’ART Fabrik est un projet créé en 2016 par un petit groupe d’amis de Fitou, Susan Thompson-Cantau & Christian Cantau, Harry Tilley et moi.
Susan & Christian ont demenagé de Fitou et ne donc continuent pas à travailler avec nous, mais nous sommes toujours des amies 😉.
Après une première année intéressante avec notre galerie, nous avons décidé de la re-ouvrir le 19 mai 2017.
